What is the Grid Code?
The Grid Code is the regulation issued by the CRE on April 8, 2016, which contains the minimum technical requirements necessary to ensure the efficient development of all processes associated with the National Electric System.
The Grid Code regulates the various activities carried out within the National Electric System, such as: interconnection of power plants, which correspond to those users who generate energy; connection of load centers, belonging to non-generating users; and planning and operation of the National Electricity Network (RNT) and the Regional Electricity Distribution Network (RGD).
